Behavior Support
We help children with Autism learn new behaviors and thrive.
Every behavior has a purpose.
When a child melts down or refuses, they’re usually trying to:
-
Get something (a toy/activity)
-
Avoid/escape something (non-preferred task or situation)
-
Get attention from an adult or peer
-
Seek/avoid sensory input
How we help
Our team uses a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to learn when, where, and why behaviors happen. We observe patterns, talk with you, and review data. Then we create an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) that:

-
Reduces triggers and sets your child up for success
-
Teaches replacement skills (requesting help/breaks, waiting, coping tools, flexibility)
-
Builds communication so your child can ask instead of act out
-
Uses visuals, reinforcement, and predictable routines
-
Includes parent training and coordination with teachers so strategies work at home and school
-
Tracks progress with clear data and updates
The goal: fewer meltdowns, more communication, and calmer days—for your child and your family.
